Desiré Williams
I have been in Kylemore for 17 years, since my marriage. This has always been a quiet and peaceful community, but these days we are all disturbed by the wave of drugs and housebreaking. So we hope for activities to keep the young people busy and hopeful.
Sewing has always been my favourite activity. I have been making clothes and doing alterations for many years. So now I am pleased to learn more and more skills at Imbali together with the other crafters. For us it is wonderful to have this opportunity to reach out to others and teach them what you know. I feel good when I can help someone else in this way, and know that they will help someone else in turn. This is how we work at Imbali.
